Nathan Hamilton received his Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh. He is an Associate Professor of Archaeology at USM, where he has been teaching since 1987. He teaches classes in New England historic archaeology and Native American cultures. His research focus is on prehistoric maritime adaptation in the Holocene epoch. He is currently teaching Gulf Of Maine, a Science Explorations Core requirement course that examines economic and environmental changes on the coast. Ask him about field school in the tropics.
