Owen Hill, LCPC-c

Owen received his undergraduate degree in History from Hunter College and his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Southern Maine. Owen is a conditionally licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. At USM Owen provides therapy to students. Some of them tell him it’s helpful. His theoretical orientation to counseling is eclectic. He believes that in therapy — as in life — there are no solutions, only trade-offs and so one single approach is unlikely to be universally effective. He most often incorporates lenses from Emotion Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Solutions Focused, Psychodynamic and Existential schools of thought.
