Professor Salotto-Cristobal has been designing continuously for over a decade. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Humanities from the University of West Florida and a Masters of Fine Arts in Lighting and Projection Design from the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he became one of the first to study projections for performance. 

His career has taken him across the country and has allowed him to design for many companies in Opera, Dance and Theatre including: Dialogues des Carmelites (Boston Conservatory at Berklee); Carmen (Opera Colorado); Dead Man Walking (Tulsa Opera); A Little Night MusicThe Magic Flute, and La Bohème (Opera in the Ozarks); CabaretGuys & DollsThe Sound of MusicLes MisérablesInto the Woods, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Woodland Theatre Company); Jesus Christ SuperstarRedSideshow, and RabbitHole (Umbrella Performing Arts); Oliver and ShrektheMusical (Wagon Wheel Theatre); A Christmas Carol: The Musical (The Armory Theatre); Distracted (Unicorn Theatre); and Ben Franklin’s Apprentice (Coterie Theatre). 

Seif was also recently working with 4Wall Entertainment (Boston) where he specialized in assisting with new and used sales of lighting and design equipment. He is excited to bring his knowledge and experience to the University of Southern Maine community and help shape the next generation of theatre professionals.
