Hello! My name is Stacy Stewart and I am the Career Advisor assigned to the College of Science, Technology, and Health.
Assisting you (current students and alumni) in your career exploration process is my passion. Providing career counseling including reviewing cover letters & resumes, administering and interpreting assessments, assisting students in the job search process, and in job preparation (dress for success, mock interviews, networking, use of social media, etc.) are several of the services that I offer. I am certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator; certified in administering and interpreting the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong & iStartStrong; a StrengthsFinder Instructor, Focus 2 Career, and Gatekeeper trained.
Originally I am from Chebeague Island, Maine, and began working for the University of Southern Maine in 2003.
My teaching experience includes HRD 110 Choices, Changes & Careers, FYE 188 College and Career Success, and USM 103 Career Strategies. Also, I co-coordinate the FYE 188 course, its development and co-wrote the textbook.
