Mr. Egeland is a Research Analyst at the Catherine Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine. He is a core member of the Substance Use Research & Evaluation unit where his work focuses on qualitative evaluation activities. He also manages transcription subcontracts, curates and maintains a repository of data collection instruments, and gathers supporting documents for literature reviews and legislative summaries to facilitate the completion of mixed-methods evaluation research projects.

  • Data collection & analysis: document review, interviewing, and observation; inputting, organizing, cleaning, and analyzing data; survey and protocol development; and using online data collection tools
  • Planning, designing, developing, editing, producing, and disseminating project products and reports
  • Data collection and analysis software (NVivo, SPSS, Qualtrics)
  • Producing literature reviews a legislative summaries
