The Muskie School’s Policy, Planning, and Management program Advisory Committee, in collaboration with dedicated Muskie alumni, recently organized a memorable day trip for current students to the Maine State House in Augusta, Maine.
The visit offered students a behind-the-scenes look at Maine’s legislative process, including a guided tour of the State House and opportunities to hear directly from legislators and government officials. Speakers shared insights into their roles within state government and emphasized the value of public service. They also offered thoughtful reflections on how academic preparation at the Muskie School equips students for impactful careers in the public sector.
