Linda Woodard

Linda Woodward, Lifetime Achievement Award

Linda has dedicated 35 years to Maine Audubon where she served as Director of the Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center and led countless environmental programs for all ages. Her remarkable career includes co-chairing the Southern Maine Children’s Water Festival for over two decades, serving as an Envirothon Wildlife Judge for 25+ years, and teaching at the University of Southern Maine’s Environmental Science and Policy department. Linda’s distinguished work has earned her the EPA New England Region’s Environmental Merit Award and recognition from Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, while her impact has been featured in two books, “Extraordinary Ordinary Women” and “Route One Maine.” Her passion for environmental education stems directly from her childhood, where she was hiking with her father from age one and leading nature programs for her mother’s second grade class while still in middle school.
