USM’s EdS and PsyD in School Psychology programs have been approved for candidacy status by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Program Accreditation Board. Our candidacy status approval was granted on July 1, 2025, and program faculty anticipate applying for full accreditation in Spring 2028. USM’s School Psychology programs also are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and approved by the Maine Department of Education for the preparation of school psychologists.
