USM’s Military Affiliated Student Hub (M.A.S.H.) Relocates to New Portland Campus Location
PORTLAND, Maine – November 18, 2025 – The University of Southern Maine’s Military Affiliated Student Hub (M.A.S.H.) has officially relocated to 49 Exeter Street on the Portland campus as of November 13.
The move to a larger space reflects USM’s commitment to its growing veteran and military family population. The expanded facility at 49 Exeter Street will enable M.A.S.H. to better serve the needs of military-affiliated students and will provide the capacity to offer new services to the community.
M.A.S.H. provides comprehensive support services for student veterans, active duty service members, reservists, National Guard members, and military family members. Services include academic advising, VA benefits assistance, peer mentoring, and community building opportunities. The M.A.S.H. team helps students navigate financial education benefits like the GI Bill® and military tuition assistance, with experienced School Certifying Officials available to walk students through their benefits and connect them with campus and community resources.
USM offers in-state tuition rates for veterans, active duty service members and eligible dependents, participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, and provides online undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs.
The Veterans Resource Centers on USM’s Gorham and Lewiston campuses remain at their current locations and continue to offer the same valuable services to military-affiliated students on those campuses.
Students, veterans, and community members are encouraged to stop by the new Portland location to tour the facility and learn more about available resources.
