On March 23, University of Southern Maine President Jacqueline Edmondson was recognized by Mainebiz as one of seven 2026 Business Leaders of the Year.
According to the publication, these individuals are helping to shape Maine’s economy and quality of life.
President Edmondson was recognized for her leadership in opening the $63 million Crewe Center for the Performing Arts last fall, a transformative project for USM’s Portland Campus.
Edmondson and the six other honorees — representing a range of industries from craft brewing and manufacturing to nonprofits and insurance — will be celebrated at an awards reception on April 14.
