Dr. Heather Reichmuth and colleagues from other universities throughout the U.S. have collaborated and received the Family Engagement and Educator Preparation Innovation Project Grant through the National Association For Family, School, and Community Engagement. In total, they were awarded $17,800. This money will be used to support the training of inservice and preservice teachers. Heather will be working with the South Portland and Westbrook school districts on family engagement with multilingual families. The goal of this project is to support young multilingual learners and their families for school success.
