Associate Professor of Art and Art Department Chair, Hannah Barnes, and BFA Alumna Ali Dion ’23, are currently exhibiting new works in the exhibition, “Generations: University of Maine System Choose Artists” at the Charles Danforth Gallery at UMA, Augusta. For this exhibition University of Maine System Art Faculty were asked to pair with one of their stellar alums to create a visual dialogue between artist-faculty and artist-alum. Hannah Barnes, Associate Professor of Art, and Art Department Chair, University of Southern Maine. Hannah chose Ali Dion, who completed her BFA at USM in spring 2023.

Jesse Potts, Chair of the Division of Arts and Associate Professor of Art, University of Maine Farmington. Jesse chose Abigail Cloutier, who completed her BA in Art at UMF in 2022.

Peter Precourt is Professor of Art and Art Department Coordinator at the University of Maine Augusta. Peter chose Ted Closson, who graduated with his BA in Art from UMA in 2009.

Susan Smith, PhD is director of the Intermedia Program at the University of Maine at Orono. Susan chose Anna Martin, who completed her PhD with research in Intermedia and collaborative practices in 2023.

“Generations” is on view through October 18, 2023.
