On Tuesday March 31, 2026, USM Career Hub and Student Engagement and Belonging, in partnership with the Department of Leadership and Organizational Studies, hosted an alumni panel focused on leadership and career development. The panel was designed to give students different perspectives on career paths while reinforcing the impact of USM’s education and co-curricular opportunities.
The event was held at the McGoldrick Center for Career and Student Success in Portland and brought together USM students from various disciplines for discussions, interactive Q&A, and networking. The panel featured recent alumni who shared how their experiences at USM helped shape their leadership and professional journeys.
The discussion was moderated by Camille Alipalo, a USM senior and Student Senate Board of Trustees representative, who guided panelists through reflections on their time as students and their transition into the workforce.

Panelists included:
Antoine Grace – Academic Advisor at USM
Izaak Onos – Transportation Planner II at AECOM
Tanner McClure – Management Trainee at Bangor Savings Bank
Chloe Babb – Treasury Analyst at UNUM
Each speaker offered insights into navigating early career challenges, building professional networks, and applying leadership lessons learned during their academic studies.
The event was sponsored by Unum (America’s Most Innovative Companies, Fortune 2023).
