Muskie student joins dialog at the Arctic Circle Assembly

We are proud to feature Emily Ireland, a second-year Master of Public Health student at the Muskie School of Public Service who recently represented USM at the prestigious Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Emily joined President Edmondson and other USM faculty and staff on this trip. She was part of the International Graduate Student Research Cohort program co-hosted by the University of Southern Maine and the University of Tromsø in Norway and presented her research on a comparative study on postpartum health across four countries in the North Atlantic.

Her participation underscores USM’s growing global engagement and the value of student voices in major international dialogues. Please join us in congratulating Emily on this accomplishment!
