University Orientation Session (VIA ZOOM)

Attending a University Orientation session is required for first-year students and strongly encouraged for transfer and readmitted students.

During this session, you will listen to required presentations from various university departments and go over important COVID-related information. Parents/caregivers are welcome!

Campus Visit Days

Attending a Campus Visit Day is optional. You may choose to attend any combination of the three options.

This will be your chance to explore the campus before returning students come back! Pick up your ID card, visit offices, and meet with Orientation Leaders and other new students! Parents/caregivers are welcome!

Choice of:
Portland, 1/11 from 1-3pm
Gorham, 1/12 from 1am-3pm

Residential University Orientation Session (Required)

Attending Residential University Orientation session for all new students living on campus, including students who may have previously attended Orientations for International Programs, Veteran Services, Promise Scholars, Native Students, and TRIO Programs.

University Orientation provides the opportunity to hear from key USM resources, review university expectations, and learn more about the USM community.

Monday, January 16th, 2023 – New Residential Mixer. 2:30-4:00PM – Husky Hut, Lower Brooks. Drop by anytime.
