Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities - Check this list often! It features upcoming community events or programs in need of volunteers on a one-time or short-term basis. This is a great option if you cannot make a weekly commitment, but want to be involved.

  • Community Partner Directory - Explore a list of community organizations addressing a wide variety of issues to find opportunities aligned with your interests and availability. This is a good resource if you are searching for a long-term commitment.
  • Community Engagement Weekly Newsletter- Stay up to date with our weekly newsletter on upcoming volunteer highlights and opportunities. 
  • 4-H STEM Ambassadors - Become a mentor for local youth! Lead kids in fun, hands-on STEM activities while developing your skills in leadership, project planning, presentation, communication, and problem solving. No STEM background necessary!
  • Husky Day of Service - Join other USM students for this annual Spring event as you choose from an array of day-long service projects at area organizations.
  • AmeriCorpsAmeriCorps engages more than 75,000 Americans in intensive service each year at nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country.  There are many different programs to choose from.
  • USM & SMCC Community Service - Join USM and SMCC students as they team up to vounteer at rotating service learning events in the greater Portland area.
