2nd Place – WOLVES IN MAINE: THE FACTS, THE DNA, THE POLITICS by Northside Homeschool

Evidence supporting the presence of canids with wolf DNA in New England has been building for years. Why is this not being addressed regarding laws and reasonable protections and hunting limits, considering gray wolves are listed on the federal Endangered Species Act?

Biotechnology may be a buzzword nowadays, but it evidently has roots all the way back to the dawn of civilization. This film is about the history of biotech. From ancient times to modern advancements, the film asks hard questions about ethical implications of biotechnology and genetic engineering.

To people who were born and raised in cold climates, it may not seem very puzzling or surprising that wildlife is able to survive the harsh winter. Maine’s winter is harsh and long, as humans we can survive by using artificial heating and wearing warm clothing. How can animals survive Maine’s winter without these luxuries.
