Health Services

At Health Services we strive to provide you with high quality health care.  We support your individual journey towards health.   

We offer both in-person and telehealth appointments. Please call 207-780-5411 to make an appointment.

All consent forms and insurance information must be completed prior to your appointment. Instructions on form completion and insurance information uploading will be sent to you via email prior to your appointment. Please bring your insurance card to your appointment.

Staff:  Nurse practitioners, a physician consultant, a certified medical assistant, a registered nurse, and administrative support professionals.

Medical Care: We offer a wide range of primary care services including but not limited to the below.

Privacy:  Your visits are private and confidential.  None of your health information will be shared without your written consent except as required/allowed by law.


Fall 2022 Services (Effective August 29th 2022)

We are back! Health Services is ready to serve the primary care needs of our student body once again!

  • Starting August 29th, students may contact our office to schedule an appointment with one of our Nurse Practitioners at the Gorham location 156 Upton Hall
  • Beginning September 12th, students may contact our office to schedule an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner at our Portland location 008 Sullivan Gym
    • Note: All visitors to the offices must be screened prior to entry.


COVID-19 Support

The University of Maine System has laid out all policies and guidelines around COVID-19 prevention and safety. To view this information, please visit the UMS Together for Maine website. 

  • Students who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 may contact health services to schedule an appointment for testing.
  • Staff/Faculty who are experincing symptoms of COVID-19 should connect with their supervisor as well as the COVID Response Team at Staff/Faculty should also contact their PCP or nearest urgent care center. 

The University of Maine System is not providing routine Asymptomatic testing on campus any longer. Health Services will also not be providing routine asymptomatic COVID testing. Anyone who is not experiencing symptoms and would like to test, should reach out to the COVID response team at for guidance. You may also contact your PCP or check out the State of Maine COVID-19 testing website. State of Maine COVID-19 Testing 

All Students, Faculty, and Staff who are experiencing symptoms, or have tested positive for COVID-19, should fill out the COVID reporting form. Once completed, the COVID Response Team will reach out individually to discuss next steps.

DHHS is now offering COVID testing kits for Maine households free of charge. Each kit contains 5 tests and cen be requested once per month through Project Access COVID Tests (Project ACT). Use the link HERE to make your request. More information can be viewed below.
