Health Services

Summer 2022 Services (Effective May 27th through July 31st):

Our Nurse Practitioners are off contract from late May to the beginning of August each summer. This limits our ability to serve the student community in our office. Our Psychiatric NP will still be seeing her regularly scheduled patients and coordinating those appointments with her patients directly. We are still available to offer information on immunization requirements, COVID testing and vaccination, and records transfers. We can also guide students to local services if they are in need of acute medical attention or are looking to establish with a local PCP. Please contact our Gorham office for assistance and Happy Summer!

  • Starting February 1, USM will require weekly testing for eligible USM community members who have not yet received a booster COVID-19 vaccination.
  • If you live in Maine and are at least 18 years old, you may be eligible for your booster COVID-19 vaccine.
  • If you received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least FIVE MONTHS ago, you are eligible for a booster dose.
  • If you received the single-dose J&J vaccine at least TWO MONTHS ago, you are eligible for a booster dose.
  • If you recently recovered from a COVID-19 infection and have met the criteria to discontinue isolation, you are eligible for a booster dose.

We would like to assist our USM community with obtaining booster vaccines. Please check out the below:
