About Veterans Upward Bound.

Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is a federally funded pre-college program that provides assistance, at no cost, to eligible veterans who wish to pursue a post-secondary degree, certificate, or licensure. VUB is designed to develop the academic and personal skills necessary for admission into the post-secondary program of the veteran’s choice.

The University of Southern Maine (USM) is the host institution for the VUB of Maine program which supports any qualifying Maine veteran regardless of the university or college they wish to apply to or attend.

VUB Covid-19 Office Hours

Given our mission to serve the entire state of Maine, VUB is open and has a number of mechanisms in place to support veterans.

During the pandemic, we are largely available remotely, with some on-campus hours during the semester (see “today’s hours” in the left-hand nav, above), via online video (Zoom), YOU can also click the calendar link below to find advisor hours for the month. If you're looking for a tutor, let your VUB Advisor know and we will work out logistics to best serve you.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or needs.
