Designed to flex

The Health Sciences degree completion program at USM is a smart choice for refocusing or rebooting your path to a bachelor’s degree. Our interdisciplinary curriculum encompasses wellness, nutrition, psychology, chemistry, healthcare administration, and more. Courses in statistics and research methods give you an advantage if you apply for grad school. 

Community-focused training

Explore the fundamentals of public health and other complex social, cultural, legal, and ethical issues. Along the way, you learn to recognize and understand how cultural differences impact healthcare practices, procedures, and decision-making.

What to expect when you complete your degree in health sciences

  • A fast-track to your degree for transfer or returning students: You’re eligible for this degree completion program if you’ve earned at least 75 undergraduate credits from an accredited institution. This includes former USM students who have been away for at least two years and students transferring to USM.
  • Your past gen ed credits should have you covered: In most cases, your general education credits should transfer seamlessly to USM, allowing you to accelerate to the finish with a full focus on health sciences.
  • Balance your schedule while completing your degree: Our online program allows you to continue working and meeting other commitments.
  • Online learning community: Courses provide a mix of video lectures, reading, and discussion boards that allow you to interact with the material, your professors, and fellow students.
