Mural unveiling with artist-in-residence Ryan Adams

Join us: Artist-in-Residence Ryan Adams to reveal a new mural as a part of his and Rachel Adams’s Piece Together Project on July 8th

The University of Southern Maine Art Gallery is pleased to announce the unveiling of the 2024 Artist-in-Residence mural created by Ryan and Rachel Adams. During his residency, Ryan Adams created a mural as part of his Piece Together Project. Adams worked with students throughout the spring semester to select a wall for mural placement, choose two community members to honor, compose the design, and paint.

Pictured above are Ryan Adams (left) and Art Student Intern Katie Riley (right) as they begin work on the mural in Westbrook. The completed mural will be revealed at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, July 8th.
