Blue IPEDS report:

The reporting period for the Completions component is during the 12-month time period beginning July 1 of the previous calendar year and ending June 30 of the current calendar year (100% time); tracks completion status at 150% of the normal time to complete all requirements of their program of study (150% time) Student Right-to-Know Act; between 151% and 200% of normal time for students to complete all requirements of their program of study (200% time) fulfills requirements of the Higher Education Act, as amended.

A student is reported ONLY once and can be in more than ONE of these GRADin buckets (cumulative reporting): GRADin4 (100% time) GRADin5 (150% time) or GRADin6 (200% time). This report STOPS COUNTING GRADin (data) AFTER 6 years (200% time).

Yellow report:

The reporting is based on the actual Completion Term in the Completions component database. It is NOT cumulative but rather shows actual time to degree completions up to 8 years (plus 200% time).

A student is reported ONLY once and cannot be in more than ONE of these GRADin buckets. IF a student did not GRADin8 they are not reflected in this report because they did not complete their degree WITHIN the 8 year period.
