Brooks Frank is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her B.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD. She completed her Masters in Social Work with a dual focus on macro and clinical Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore, and was previously licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia before moving to Maine. Brooks worked in school-based environments, as well as providing case management in a vulnerable older adult population, before entering the practice of college counseling.
Brooks has a background working in individual, family, and group therapy, and focuses on a solution-focused client-centered approach to the therapeutic relationship. Brooks has engaged in professional development that emphasized CBT skills, trauma-informed therapy, and Narrative therapy, but deeply believes in the idea of lifelong learning and growth as a clinician. Brooks will work with clients to address challenges in the immediate moment, but also explore the developmental, social, and cultural history of each unique person.
Brooks enjoys reading voraciously, spending time in outdoor movement, cooking and baking new recipes, and restful time at home with family and friends.
