Christopher Coyne

Sgt. Coyne comes to USM after 27 years at the Portland Police Department. He started at USM in early 2024 so has yet to find a favorite campus event and hopes to be a firm yet fair and consistent officer at USM Public Safety. 

Outside of work Sgt. Coyne enjoys camping and visiting Boston’s North End, his favorite place outside of Maine. Due to all the places he has visited he has had the opportunity to try a variety of foods; out of all of them, the strangest was dog which he says he would try again. And if given the choice to have a drink with anyone alive or dead, he would like to have a drink with his father to catch up on old times.
