Melissa Ebert

Campus Safety Officer (CSO), Melissa Ebert, has been with our department since 2022. CSO Ebert has over 9 years of experience working in Public Safety, previously working for the Transportation Security Administration, Rochester Police Department and University of Rochester Public Safety. CSO Ebert holds a BA in Criminal Justice and Criminology. When off duty, she enjoys painting, reading, Zumba and binge watching her favorite movies alongside her three dogs. When not in Maine, CSO Ebert loves spending time in her hometown in upstate New York. As an adventurous youth, CSO Ebert enjoyed trying exotic foods such as snails and tripe. These days she would prefer a cup of tea alongside her late grandmother, Lola. While here at USM, CSO Ebert hopes to meet as many people as she can in an effort to build great relationships with all members of the USM community. CSO Ebert’s favorite color is pink, she has three rescue Dachshunds and perpetually has some random song stuck inside her head.
