Cash/Credit Card/PayPal/Venmo Gifts.

Checks and credit card payments are an easy way to give. Gifts to support USM may allow you to take a charitable deduction on your income tax return.

When making a gift with a check, please do the following:

• Make the check payable to “University of Southern Maine Foundation.”
• Indicate the fund name or area of support on the memo line of the check or include a letter of instruction stating the fund you wish to support or how you wish the gift to be used.

Making a gift using a credit card/PayPal/Venmo:

Gifts can be made with your Visa, Mastercard or American Express card. To make a credit card gift, you may visit our Online Giving Page or call our office at 207-780-4408.

We are also happy to accept gifts through PayPal or Venmo on our Online Giving Page.

Making a gift through wire transfer:

Cash may be wired directly from your brokerage account to the USM Foundation. Please call the Foundation office at 207-780-4408 for transfer instructions.

Be sure to keep acknowledgements and other records of your gifts to assure that you can use your deductions. This is especially important for gifts of $250 or more. Donors are advised to discuss the potential benefits and consequences of making charitable gifts with an attorney, financial, or tax advisor.
