A Catalyst for Transformation
The USM Foundation works side by side with the University of Southern Maine to support the aspirations of our students and the strategic vision of USM. In partnership with our donors, we are building bridges that offer new paths for students, connecting our University to Maine’s future, and transforming individual gifts into the Power of US.
Every day we work to:
- Raise the critical funds needed to support scholarships, student support programs, and academic needs
- Grow USM’s endowment to ensure stability and sustainability for the University long into the future
- Collaborate with community and employer partners to broaden opportunities for students and build Maine’s workforce
- Engage with our alumni to strengthen University ties and cultivate connections

Established in 1996, the Foundation is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a 4-star rating on Charity Navigator and a Gold status with GuideStar.
Corey Hascall ‘99 is the President and CEO of the USM Foundation and leads an experienced and resourceful team dedicated to supporting the success of the University. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, which has full responsibility for the Foundation’s strategic direction and advancement efforts.
