Diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging (DEIAB) are important to the University of Southern Maine (USM) community. IDEC (Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Council) is a group of action-oriented current students, faculty, and staff passionate about DEIAB work.
We partner with University leadership, departments, and organizations to engage our community in creating and sustaining a safe, inclusive, diverse, antioppressive, antiracist University for people of all identities. IDEC is one of the ways EICI empowers students, staff, and faculty to work towards an improved and forward-thinking learning and working environment.
