What to Expect From an Employer

For your internship to be successful an employer should provide the following:

  • A scheduled time with you to review your Internship Agreement Form and Learning Contract Part 2 and sign. Remember these are YOUR overall goals and activities and what you want to take away from the internship
  • An appropriate learning environment where you may apply your college studies in an experiental learning setting
  • A specific point person to whom you can refer questions
  • A schedule that allows you to work 120 hrs over a maximum of two semesters so you may receive academic credit
  • A fifteen to thirty (15 - 30) minute block of time each week for supervision/discussion
  • An Employer Evaluation of Student Intern Form and a letter at the conclusion of the internship
