Take a video tour of the MIST Lab

The USM Maker Innovation Studio (MIST Lab) is a collaborative workspace for making, learning, exploring and sharing. Our makerspace is open to USM students, faculty, and staff for prototyping ventures. The MIST Lab aims to support hands-on learning and research in science, technology, engineering, art and math fields.

We host workshops, course support, and tours for the USM community to utilize MIST for their project development .

The MIST 3D Printing & Prototyping Lab focuses on prototype development with over twenty 3D printers ranging from beginner capabilities to advanced material. Additional resources include a Glowforge Laser Printer, CNC Mills, Soldering stations, Digital Embroidery, Adobe Creative Cloud, and CAD software.
