The 2nd year of University of Southern Maine CubeSat Design Competition (UCDC22) was a great success.

MIST is proud to continue supporting the 2022 UCDC. This year’s CubeSat chassis provided to all applicants was developed by the MIST team (Bravo Dan, Caleb, and Drew!). It was wonderful to see Maine’s young students make their own space project, build the functioning unit and be able to reach up to 105,000 ft in the air to measure scientific data. These students will be our backbone for future development of Maine’s spaceport. The UCCD has been supported by NASA, Maine Space Grant Consortium, USM’s CSTH, USM’s Maker Innovation Studio, and the Michael E. Dubyak Center for Digital Science and Innovation.
