Public Health students make a difference!

The Muskie School of Public Service congratulates graduating students Tim Fogleman and Najmo Ahmed, whose stories were recently featured by the University of Southern Maine ahead of Commencement 2026.

Tim Fogleman, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health graduate, reflected on finding community, confidence, and purpose at USM as a transfer student, highlighting the supportive environment and opportunities that helped shape his academic journey. Meanwhile, incoming Master of Public Health student Najmo Ahmed was selected as USM’s student commencement speaker, recognized for her leadership, advocacy, and commitment to public health and community engagement.
