The University of Southern Maine, in collaboration with the City of Portland, launched its first bikeshare program. The University helped the City write an RFP to hire a qualified vendor to install a system City-wide. The winning company was Tandem Mobility. Tandem has launched their program with several hundred bikes that can be rented from stations located throughout the City and returned to any designated station.
