The Muskie School of Public Service proudly celebrated the accomplishments of our
graduating students in the Class of 2025. These graduates represent the next
generation of public service professionals, equipped with the knowledge, integrity, and
commitment to make meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
We were honored to welcome U.S. Senator Angus King and Board of Visitors members
Anne Jordan, Amanda Rector (Chair of the Board), and others who offered heartfelt
congratulations and encouragement to the graduating class.
Senator King shared reflections on his lifelong journey in public service—from his early
days at Pine Tree Legal Assistance to his leadership in the creation of the Land for
Maine’s Future program and his service as Governor and U.S. Senator. His message,
excerpted in the Bangor Daily News, reminded graduates that public service is not
defined by office or title, but by a commitment to helping others.
Similarly, Anne Jordan, who provided the keynote address, focused on the value of
lifelong public service, and Amanda Rector, an alumna and staunch supporter of the
School, shared words reflecting the pride and confidence that the entire Muskie School
community feels for our students and their future contributions.
To our graduates—congratulations! We are proud of all you have accomplished and
look forward to the leadership and dedication you will bring to the
