USM to celebrate its 145th commencement this Saturday, May 10th
For the first time, a separate hooding ceremony will be held on Friday to celebrate those individuals who have earned doctoral degrees
PORTLAND — The University of Southern Maine will celebrate its 145th Commencement on Saturday, May 10th with more 1,100 graduates scheduled to participate. The ceremony is the culminating event on the academic calendar, giving the opportunity for individual recognition to every graduating student who wishes to participate.

When: 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 10th
Where: Cross Insurance Arena in Portland
Who: The ceremony will feature remarks by University President Jacqueline Edmondson and addresses from student speaker Maddie Weston and Distinguished Alumnus Rear Admiral William E. Leigher ’80, USN Ret.
