Description
This award is for graduate students at USM. Scholarships are awarded in variable amounts of up to $1,000 for the Summer semester, and are based on a holistic review taking into consideration financial need, academic performance, and contributions to the USM community.
Eligibility
To qualify, students must:
- be matriculated in a master's or doctoral degree at USM
- students in Accelerated Graduate Pathways must be matriculated in the graduate program
- be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or better
- students in their first semester are eligible to apply with a 0.0 GPA
- be enrolled in at least 3 graduate credits for the summer session(s)
- have completed the FAFSA
- non US citizens need not complete
- not be a University of Maine System employee
- student workers and Graduate Assistants are eligible

When the application is accepting submissions, a link to an application form will be available here. Students must use their maine.edu credentials to access the application form.
For Summer 2026, the application will be open starting on January 20, 2026, with a due date of February 15, 2026.
Attempting to apply outside of the posted dates will result in an error message.
