Three dynamic campuses
USM is at the heart of Maine's most exciting metropolitan region — from Portland's lively Old Port to Lewiston's vibrant arts district to Gorham's friendly village center.
As recognized scholars, researchers, and practicing professionals, USM faculty are active contributors to their fields, opening doors to exciting real-world opportunities for our students in the Southern Maine region and beyond.
The Husky. Inside the heart of a Husky is a champion of community spirit and school pride. Known for being friendly and hard working, USM Huskies are strong leaders. It’s always good to have a Husky on your side.
If you aren't able to make it to campus for a visit or want to see a little more before booking your campus tour, take a virtual look around our three distinct campuses in Portland, Gorham, and Lewiston. Our interactive 360º photos will give you a peek inside our dorms, classrooms, labs, and other spaces on campus.
Thanks to a combined $2.5 million investment of public and private funds into the USM School of Nursing, we will be able to double the size of our Simulation Lab. This expansion will allow us to increase our capacity for hands-on experiences and enroll more students to ultimately educate more qualified nurses to fill critical vacancies across the state of Maine.
