Gain hands-on experience

Learn to defend from real-world cybersecurity attacks in a production environment through internships, co-ops, and in simulation exercises with regional businesses and companies of Southern Maine.

National designation

Our BS in Cybersecurity program is recognized as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and National Security Agency (NSA).

Program requirements

Our program provides in-depth learning relevant to the rapidly changing landscape of information security. Students will become computer security experts knowledgeable in evaluating, analyzing, and posturing a secure digital network and well versed in network monitoring and countermeasure implementation.

Simulate real cybersecurity attacks and learn transferable skills in physical labs as well as virtual labs designed to provide experience in building hardened systems and defending networks from attacks with outside forces.

According to the Department of Labor, cybersecurity is a field in high demand, growing faster than IT jobs and all other industries. And as businesses and governments invest more heavily in cybersecurity protection, the demand will continue to grow.
