Program requirements

Historical education broadens students’ perspectives because it covers people and places far removed from their own experiences. Courses explore world history, United States history, African American history, Native American history, Indigenous Peoples in the Atlantic World, the Islamic Near East, and East Asia.

A versatile degree

Become a more engaged citizen by applying historical knowledge to contemporary social issues. You’ll learn to create meaningful explanations and narratives that support a well-rounded understanding of past human activity and its impact on the world of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
