Real-world job preparation
Internships and active learning within the community prepare students for real-world challenges, a broad range of experience, and the opportunity to create strong professional networks. Past students have interned with AAA Travel, Maine Native American organizations, and top hospitality companies.
High level of job placement
You’ll be prepared for a variety of career paths and leadership roles in the global tourism and hospitality industry through hands-on, industry-engaged learning. This includes managing all aspects of the industry, from tourism planning to running a successful hospitality business.
Program requirements
Our program is an interdisciplinary degree designed to prepare future leaders within tourism and hospitality. Students choose from either the Sustainable Tourism Innovation and Development concentration or the Hospitality Management concentration.
Internationally recognized faculty
Our faculty bring up-to-the-day knowledge and extensive experience into the classroom. They are regularly invited to present their work on sustainable tourism management at national and international conferences and publish in journals and books.
Become certified
As a graduate, you’ll be eligible to apply for the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) or become a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).
