Did you know?

  • You don’t need to complete our full admission application, which means no essay and no recommendation letter(s).
  • Your SAT and ACT test scores do not influence our decision to offer admission.
  • Direct Admission is a streamlined process that is different from our regular admission process.
  • If you qualify, we’ll offer you pre-approved admission to the University of Southern Maine without having to fill out our application.
  • If you decide to accept our offer of admission, you’re not committing to attend.

Our Director of Admissions will send you a letter and/or an email with an offer of admission during your senior year of high school.

  • Maine residents: You took early college courses at any University of Maine System institution and earned a final grade of C or better.
  • Out-of-state residents: You completed a profile on a college search website and submitted an official transcript certified by your school counselor.

NOTE: Some majors may require additional information or application materials.

After we review your fast admission form submission*, we’ll send you an admit packet confirming your major selection or undeclared status.

If you choose to live on campus, you may qualify for an additional $1000 housing scholarship.

Make sure to submit your enrollment deposit right away to secure your spot so you can:

  • Schedule a meeting with your academic advisor
  • Register for classes
  • Attend orientation
