Required steps
Make sure to activate your maine.edu account as soon as possible. You’ll need some information from your admission letter to complete this step.
NOTE: If you are currently enrolled in a degree program, you can skip this step.
Contact our Help Desk if you need assistance with your maine.edu account.
Once activated, you will use your account to access the following:
- Your University email
- We send all official University communications to your maine.edu address
- Our MaineStreet platform
- Find your student records, pay your tuition bill, and register for classes
- Our MyUSM platform
- This is our information hub for all current students — you may want to add a bookmark to your browser
You must provide documentation of your immunizations before you can register for classes.
You must be fully vaccinated (or apply for an exemption) to attend in-person classes or University events. We also strongly encourage you to keep up with your booster shots to help prevent severe cases of COVID-19 on campus.

You can enroll in classes during our open enrollment periods. Keep in mind, you must meet the eligibility requirements for each course with available seats to successfully register.

NOTE: If you are a current student, you can work with your Advisor to register.
