Description
This award is for graduate students at USM. Scholarships are awarded in variable amounts of up to $3,000 per academic year, and are based on a holistic review taking into consideration financial need, academic performance, and contributions to the USM community.
The next round for the Office of Graduate Studies Scholarship will be for the Fall 2027 - Spring 2028 academic year. Applications will open November 1, 2026.

Eligibility
To qualify, students must:
- be matriculated in a master's or doctoral degree at USM
- students in Accelerated Graduate Pathways must be matriculated in the graduate program
- be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or better
- students in their first semester are eligible to apply with a 0.0 GPA
- be enrolled in at least 6 graduate credits per semester
- have completed the FAFSA
- non US citizens need not complete
- not be a University of Maine System employee
- student workers and Graduate Assistants are eligible
