Veterans Upward Bound of Maine is a program designed for veterans that are looking to refresh academic skills and build the confidence needed to successfully enroll in the school or program of their choice.

Applying to college can be difficult to understand. VUB is here to support you during this process. We can talk about what programs are out there, and what you need to do to get started.

Veterans can explore different career paths while participating in VUB. We have resources to help you figure out what you would like to do and how to get the appropriate training.

FAFSA, Financial Aid, Scholarships, VA Benefits – all of these things can be confusing to navigate. VUB works with veterans to find out what is available to help pay for school.

We offer three Academic Refresher Courses multiple times a year. The classes are FREE and you are not expected to have prior knowledge of the subject before joining. Our goal for these courses is for you to feel confident on your first day of school.

For some veterans, navigating post-military education and careers is tough. We will help you understand where your aptitude is and what you feel is important in determining your education and career goals.
