Class of ’25: Joie Paciulli trades campus life for the Caribbean

The 2025 Commencement ceremony will be the first time that Joie Paciulli has ever been in the same room with her classmates.
On Saturday, May 10, she’ll graduate from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences, a GPA that hovers between 3.8 and 4.0, and plans to start her master’s degree in Social Work.
Hade graduated from USM the spring of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences degree with a concentration in social work — the first in her family to get a four-year degree. She plans to get her master’s in social work, also from USM.
Jason White is a new assistant professor here at USM, and comes to us from the social services field, with about 20 years of experience.
