All investigators, key personnel, faculty advisors and research staff conducting research involving any vertebrate animals are required to complete training before they may begin.  IACUC applications will not be approved until all necessary people have fulfilled all requirements.

  • “Working with the IACUC Course” is required if you plan to use lab animals in your work– required every 4 years

2. MyUSM Launch Pad click on the UMS Academy Icon (USM Only)

  • Basic Safety Training UMS for the current academic year (AY), print off completion certificate as proof of completion
  • Required each academic year

3. Annually, all investigators, research staff and key personnel handling animals or working in the Portland Campus Science Building must also complete an Occupational Health Survey (doc). Hand this in to the Principal Investigator – Do not send electronically!
