The application for RA positions for the 2024-2025 Academic Year is now available. The application can be found on the Housing Portal. Any questions should be directed to reslife-staffselection-group@maine.edu.
Eligibility
Applicants for the RA position must meet the following criteria:
- have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- If extraordinary circumstances have prevented you from obtaining a 2.5 and your current GPA is between 2.25 and 2.5, you must submit a letter of appeal with your application explaining those circumstances.
- If you do not have an established GPA from USM, please provide one from your prior institution.
- be in good disciplinary standing with the Dean of Students Office.
- be available for training in early August – dates TBD.
Application Materials
RA Applicants will need to submit:
- Application from the Housing Portal
- Resume
- Cover Letter
- Two references
- While not required, it is preferred that one of your two references be a current USM RA.
Important Dates
February 16th – LRA applications due by 4:00pm
February 19th – Returning Staff applications due by 4:00pm
February 23rd – New RA applications due by 4:00pm
