HALL FEATURES
Anderson Hall houses approximately 100 students in double rooms, and is home to our first year Honors, Student Leadership, and Serenity Communities. The floors are mixed gender, and the hall has both single gender and gender inclusive bathrooms . Anderson’s common areas provide ample opportunities for students to come together, whether for study or play. A large lounge off the lobby has a Ping-Pong table, flat screen television, and plentiful seating; a smaller study lounge, The Nook, is adjacent and open for student use. The hall features a full kitchen that both Anderson and Woodward residents can use. Vending machines are conveniently located in the lobby, and there is a laundry room in the basement.
ROOM FEATURES
Rooms measure roughly 18′ x 12′. All rooms have extra long beds, two built-in closets, two desks, two desk chairs, two dressers, and a room micro-fridge. Each room also has wireless internet.
HALL HISTORY
Built as a men’s dormitory in 1963, this was named for Hayden L.V. Anderson, an alumnus who taught at Gorham for many years, and went on the serve as Director of Professional Services for the Maine Department of Education.
WHAT MAKES ANDERSON HALL A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE
