Dual Admission Agreement, Behavioral Health Studies (YCCC) and Psychology (USM)

Eligibility

Students who have successfully completed their YCCC Associate in Applied Science in Behavioral Health Studies (AASBHS) with at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (on a scale of 4.0), with no grades below C- in all psychology courses will be granted admission to USM’s Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program, contingent upon a satisfactory review of their application as conducted by the USM Office of Admissions.

Application and Admission Processes

After completion of ~30 credits of the YCCC AASBHS, students intending to proceed into the USM BA Psychology program are to complete an application to USM via the Common Application or the University of Maine System Application and indicate their intention to major in Psychology.

Upon completion of the YCCC Associate’s degree, students will have a maximum of one year to apply for consideration under this agreement.
