University of Southern Maine credit is awarded using the following equivalencies:
Course # | Grade | Credit Awarded |
---|---|---|
101 and/or 102 | F | NO CREDIT |
101 and 102 | P, P | **LAN 1XX (4 credits) |
101, 102 and 201 | P, P, P | **LAN 2XX (8 credits) |
**If a student passes an exam in a language the University offers, then the three-letter prefix for the language will be used instead of LAN. (For example, passing the BYU French exam at the 101 + 102 level will result in 4 credits of FRE 1XX.)
Please Note: University of Southern Maine students can earn a maximum of 8 credits per level (100, 200, 300) by exam for each language.
